	Canadian and Caribbean WebSphere Portal User Group Meeting - Fall 2009

The Canadian and Caribbean WebSphere Portal User Group was launched to provide a forum in which WebSphere Portal users could share best practices and expertise. At the present time we are planning to have at least two meetings a year; one in the spring and one in the fall.

The next meeting of the group will be held on Nov 9th, 2009. The meeting will be held simultaneously in Toronto, Montreal, Calgary and Caribbean islands as well as virtually. Session will include: Showcasing Web 2.0 features for Portal Application Development with IBM Rational Application Developer Toolkit, WebSphere Portal Theme Development - Implementing an Engaging Enterprise User Experience and Broker Portal – How it was Built.

This year's IBM WebSphere Portal Technical Conference is taking place October 13-16, 2008 in Nashville, TN. We have dedicated an entire web page to information regarding the event so check it out!

This year is Davalen's first time participating and sponorship this event. Davalen's WebSphere Portlet Factory expert, Michael "Spoon" Witherspoon will be presenting a session entitled "WebSphere Portlet Factory: Davalen's Practical Advice from the Field."

We will also be at booth #1. Take a look to see who will be at the booth by meeting our WPTC team as well as viewing our experiences and reactions from the event!
